Signing Up for a Campout or Activity Night Event
Trying to sign your scout up for a campout,
activity night or other event where sign-ups are required? Then you need to go
to the >My Stuff>My Scouts screen and click on the
Event Sign-Up button next
to your scout that is participating in the event! On the subsequent
screen, click the check box next to the event you are signing your scout up for
and then click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Are you going to the event as
well? Then you need to go to the >My Stuff>Sign-Up For Upcoming Events screen
and click the check box next to the event you wish to sign yourself up for and then click
on the Save button at the bottom of the page. Note that when you use this screen, you
ARE NOT signing your scout up for the event, but instead you are signing
yourself up for the event. Be sure to indicate
if you intend to drive to the event (we will always ensure everyone has a ride
to an event, regarless if you are attending and/or can drive to the event).
On occassion, we invite sibilings and sometimes a friend to a scouting event. And, of course, Webelos II scouts are ALWAYS invited to any Troop 186 meeting, campout or activity night! To sign up a sibling or friend going to an event where additional participants are invited, simply note the additional attendees in the Comment box when signing yourself or your scout up for the event.
To cancel for an event, merely go back to these same screens and uncheck the box next to the event that you are cancelling for, and then click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
If you are cancelling for a event after costs have been incurred for you to attend that event, any applicable cancellation penalties and other costs incurred for you and/or your scout to attend that event will be charged to your scout account. Remember, always hit the Save button at the bottom of these screens, or else your sign-up or cancellation will not be recorded!
