Emailing The Troop
Do you need to email the entire Troop? Then do not, I repeat DO NOT, use the checkbox at the top left corner of the list of email recipients! In fact, no one in the Troop should EVER use the checkbox at the top of any list of email recipients, regardless of which web page you are on. This is because we keep email addresses on file for the Troop, the Venture Crew, BSA council and district leaders, as well as LUMC contacts. Many of these secondary contacts DO NOT wish to receive routine coorespondence from the Troop.
Instead, EVERYONE should be using the >E-Mail>EMail Groups menu option to send an email to the entire Troop, the Scoutmasters or the Troop Committee (or any of the other email groups listed on this screen). Simply click on the Send E-Mail button next to the group you want to send an email, and compose your email on the subsequent web page!
